About — Maël Simon-Bun Chuor, Paris-based videographer Capturing the beauty of the real.

Self-taught, I’ve been filming and editing since I was very young. After studies that didn’t suit me, I chose to follow my passion rather than the well-trodden path, and I kept at it. That determination led me to Paris, to the video production team of a communications agency working for major brands: a demanding school, where you learn to meet a client’s expectations without ever losing your own eye.

Alongside that, I turned to my other passion: music, and techno in particular. For more than a year, I’ve been working with established promoters on the electronic scene, such as RAW and its brands GRÜV and FLUID, Automatic and Stellar Festival, as well as with many artists: set recordings, aftermovies, teasers, social media content.

From full production to a camera or editing job, I adapt to every project. But I’m always after the same thing: authenticity and the emotion of the moment, that energy you can’t recreate.
